WatchI’ve seen both sides of this issue, mothers who cannot survive without the child support and otherwise good fathers unable to pay the court ordered sums. Complicating the situation further, when a single mother applies for TANF or Food Stamps, the Office of Child Support Enforcement automatically files for child support. A lot of this could be done out of the court system I think.
